My 1st Card Design for Sunshine Mail

Hi everyone,  I am so excited to be sharing with you my first card design for Sunshine Mail.  I have recently became a member of their wonderful design team.

What is Sunshine Mail Foundation?

A 501(c)3 nonprofit, provides children in need comfort, support and joy through free Sunshine Mail Care Packages.  Sunshine Mail is filled with handmade cards, care essentials and other age appropriate items and delivered to children in need including hospitals, homeless shelters and foster care.


I am so excited to be a part of this wonderful organization.  You can also be a part of the too.  Be sure to check out The Sunshine Mail Foundation for how you can help bring a "little sunshine" to a child in need. 


My card was created for a new challenge at Sunshine Mail.  The January 15th challenge them is "Snow Much Fun".  The sponsor for this challenge is Bugaboo Stamps.  The challenge will end January 31st.

For your Special Valentine for Just for Fun Rubber Stamps

 Good morning everyone!!  I am sharing my first project on Just for Fun design team.  I am so excited to be able to share my new creation. 

For my card I started with the white card base and then cut a mat of pink card stock and a mat of pattern card stock.  I attached a piece of ribbon to the mats and then attached to the card front.  I cut another piece of white card to stamp Rose (G2873).  I colored the image to with Copic markers and the matted the stamped image to the card front.   I added bow and a button to the bottom corner of the stamped image.  Then I added a pin with beads to the bow and a few gemstones to finish it off. 

Finished Card Size:  8”x 5-3/8”

Many Thanks for Paper Temptress

Happy New Year Paper Temptress Fans!!  It is hard to believe that 2012 is gone and it is now 2013.  It is amazing how quickly the years fly by.  Today I will be sharing with you my first project for 2013.  I hope you enjoy today’s creation.

Paper Temptress products used:

Cryogen White Card Stock

Brockway Blue Deckled Stationary Card Stock

Lapis Lazuli Mica/Metallic Card Stock

Vista Mica/Metallic Card Stock

Other products used:

Memento ink-Paris Dusk, Versamark ink pad, Zing blue metallic finish embossing powder, lt. blue gemstone, Snowflake image rubber stamp from Outlines, Many Thanks Sentiment from Just for Fun Rubber Stamps, pop dots

How it is made:

Cut Cryogen White card stock at 6”x 9¼”.  Score at 4⅝” to form card base.

Cut Brockway Blue Deckled Stationary card stock at 5⅞”x 4½”.  Attach to the card front. 

Cut Lapis Lazuli Mica/Metallic card stock  at 2⅝”x 4⅜” and attach to the top left side of the card front. 

Cut Vista Mica/Metallic card stock at 2¾”x 3⅞”.  Attach to the card front towards the center top of the Lapis Lazuli Mica/Metallic card stock. 

I also cut a few ⅛” strips of both the Vista and Lapis Lazuli Mica/Metallic card stock.  I attached them both vertically and horizontally on the card front with some overlapping in a pattern that I liked, just to add more detail. 

Cut a piece of the Cryogen White card stock at 2¼”x 2¼”.  I stamped the snowflake image on the card stock using Versamark ink.  I added blue metallic finish embossing powder to the image and then heat set. I cut a piece of Lapis Lazuli card stock at 2½”x 2½” and matted the stamped image and then I adhered the image to the card front using pop dots for dimension.  I added a light blue gemstone to the center of the snowflake. 

I stamped the Many Thanks sentiment on the bottom right corner of the card front using Paris Dusk ink.

Sharing Love

Good Morning everyone.  Today is my first posting for Just for Fun Rubber Stamps.  Today's project features CB9026 Heart Cube. This card will fit a #10 envelope.  I made the base of the card out of white card stock and then add black card stock.  I really wanted the focus of the card to be the Heart Cube designs stamped with Versamark and then I added pink embossing powder.  I did this for each of the heart squares.  I added a little organza ribbon to the bottom edge of the card.  I thought it would be nice to create a clean and simple design.  Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.  Please take a moment and leave me a comment, I would love to hear what you think.  And be sure to check out the Just for Fun Rubber Stamps Blog to see what the talented Design Team members have been creating to spark your creativity.

Snowflake Gift Card Holder

Hi again, Paper Temptress Fans!!  This is my newest creation that I wanted to share with you.  I decided that I wanted to make a special holder to be able to put gift cards in.  I thought this would be a fun way for the receiver to be able to “unwrap” their gifts.  Today’s project features a few different card stocks from Paper Temptress.  I have used  Sapphire Mica/Metallic, Midnight Blue Vellum and Vintage Silver Lustre card stock.  Be sure to stop by Paper Temptress and see these and all the other beautiful card stock she carries.  I bet you will have a hard time picking your favorite, there are so many to choose from.

Tattered Blossoms for Paper Temptress

Good morning   This is my newest project for Paper Temptress.  My project features card stock from Sparkle, Glimmer and Mica/Metallic lines.  Paper Temptress carries many different lines of card stock and they all work so well together.  It makes creating something special very easy to do.  All the directions are listed below.

How it is made:

• Cut Cryogen White card stock at 8”x 10¾”.  Score at 5⅜” to form card base.
• Cut Punch Mica/Metallic card stock at 7⅞”x 5¼”.  Attach to center of card base.
• Cut Alpine Aster Glimmer card stock at 7½”x 4⅞”.  Attach to the card base.
• Cut Cryogen White card stock at 5⅛”x 2⅝”.  Stamp the Tattered Blossom swirl using the Tuxedo Black ink.
• Color the image using the Copic Markers.
• Cut Sparkle Noir card stock at 5⅝”x 3⅛”.  Attach the stamped image and then add to the center of the card front.
• On a scrap of Cryogen White stamp the 4 of the smallest Tattered Blossom flowers and 2 of the second smallest Tattered Blossom flowers.
• Color the blossoms with the Copic markers and cut out using the matching die and a die cut machine.
• Layer two of each flower using Zots and then attach to the matching flowers on the card front.
• Add glue to the center of each of the flowers and then add Black Gala Glitz.  Allow to dry.
