I have just found out that I have been chosen as a semi-finalist in the Heartfelt Creations Design Team call.  The three projects below were my submissions for their call.

Heartfelt Creations Alumni Design Team September Blog Hop

Hi everyone, it is the last Tuesday of the month so today is the beginning of the Heartfelt Creations Alumni Design Team’s monthly Blog Hop.   This month the participating design team members are:

One of our blogs will be randomly chosen and from all those that commented on that blog, the will be again, randomly chosen.  The blog hop will remain open for comments on everybody’s blog through midnight Friday night September 28th.  The winner will be posted here noon on Saturday September 29th.  The winner will receive a $25 gift certificate. 

For my card I used HCPC 3420 Holiday Dove PreCut stamped with Versamark ink on black card stock and then added silver embossing pad.  I cut out the stamped images using the HCD 715 Christmas Cheer die cut and a die cut machine.  I then stamped the HCPC 3415 Petite Poinsettia PreCut set on vellum card stock using Versamark ink and then added silver embossing powder.  I cut out the images using the Layered Poinsettia Shapabilities and a die cut machine.

Welcome Fall for Paper Temptress



Good morning Paper Temptress fans.  Is it starting to feel like fall where you live?  Here in Ohio, the leaves are starting to turn and the temperatures are starting turning to get cooler.  So I decided to make another card for fall.  I used card stock from the Mica/Metallic collection.  One of my favorite lines I must say.  All the details are listed below.
Paper Temptress Products Used:

  • Foliage Trails stamp (Inkadinkado)
  • Memento Ink-Rich Cocoa
  • Ivory card stock
  • Pearl Gemstones
  • Pop Dots
  • Organza ribbon
How it is made:
  • Cut ivory card stock at 4⅝”x 12”.  Score at 6” to form card base.
  • Cut Cappucino Mica/Metallic card stock at 5⅞”x 4½”.  Add a piece of organza ribbon to card stock.  Attach to the center of the of the card front.
  • Cut Dark Chocolate Mica/Metallic card stock at 3”x 3¾”.  Then cut the 3” side in half.  Attach to the card front allow a little gap between the two pieces.
  • The sentiment is computer generated on ivory card stock and cut at 2⅞”x 3½”.  Stamp Foliage Trail in the bottom right on corner using Rich Cocoa ink.
  • Attach to the card front using pop dots.
  • Add a bow to the ribbon.
  • Add a pearl to the base of the foliage trail image and then add pearls to the top of the card to add a little embellishment.

Sharing my work for Card Cupids

I am not sure how many of you are familiar with Card Cupids and the wonderful work that they do.  Here is a little more information about some of the special things that they do.  Card Cupids work to help brighten the day of a special child by providing with special care packages.  The packages include handmade cards, everyday need items as well as crayons, coloring books, and stuffed animals.  These packages are delivered to children in hospitals and other places that children need special mail.  If you are interested in donating handmade cards or items for the care packages, visit them at there website.

Gently Falling for Paper Temptress

This is my newest project for Paper Temptress design team.  It features card stock from just a few of the beautiful card stocks that they carry.  Make sure to head over to Paper Temptress and check them out for yourself.  Look for all the details below.

How it is made:
·         Cut Khaki Crepe card stock at 5½”x 4”.    Stamp elegant word background on the Khaki Crepe with Tuxedo Black ink. 
·          
      Cut out leaves from the falling leaves dies and the die cut machine. 
·          
      Attach leaves as desired to Khaki Crepe card stock with repositionable tape.  Using a sponge and sponge on ink around the leaf shapes.  Remove the die cut leaves from card stock to reveal leaf images.


·          
      Cut Copper Metallic Glossy card stock at 5¾”x 4¼” and attach the stamped image to it.
·          
      Cut Dark Chocolate Mica/Metallic card stock at 6”x 4½” and attached matted stamped image to it. 
·         Add organza ribbon to the center of the matted stamped image.
·         
            Cut Cryogen White card stock at 6¼”x 9¼”.  Score at 4⅝” to form card base. 
·          
      Attach the matted stamped image to the center of the card front. 
·          
      Add a small bow made with the Bow Easy to the ribbon. 
·          
      Stamp the Give Thanks sentiment with Tuxedo Black ink on a scrap of white paper.  Color with Memento markers. 
·          
      Cut out the sentiment with the tag punch.  Sponge the edges of the tag with the Tea Dye ink.  Attach tag to bow on the front of the card.
