Products Used:
Other:  white card stock, red card stock, dark green cardstock, vellum, red and crystal gemstones, metallic red brads,  heat gun, red embossing powder, white embossing powder, Versamark ink, Sizzix Big Shot (or other die cut machine), hole punch, Zots, 1/8” red organza ribbon

 How it is Made:

On the red card stock, stamp the corner flourish from the Rye Grass Flourish PreCut Set with Versamark ink, and apply the white embossing powder in all four corners.  Heat set the stamped image.  I triple matted the picture using a piece of white card stock cut at 4 1/8” x 6 1/8”, red card stock 4 1/4” x 6 1/4”, white card stock 4 3/8”x 6 3/8” Adhere all layers together.  Using the your die cut machine, cut out two of the corner flourish dies from the Perfect Petals die and one of the half circle die from the Layered Elegant Swirl die all from white card stock.  I added the half circle die to the top of the matted picture and the two corner flourishes to the bottom corners of the matted pictures.  I added small red gemstones to the top flourish details.  Add the picture to the center of the scrapbook page.  Cut out three of the leaves and swirls die from the Bella Rose die in dark green card stock and apply to scrapbook layout with the Zip dry glue around the picture.  Stamp several of the three smallest Petite Poinsettia with Versamark ink on vellum and red card stock.  Apply red embossing powder to vellum and white embossing powder on red card stock.  Heat set and cut out using the Petite Poinsettia dies.  Stamp several of the two smallest Sunburst Flowers 2 with Versamark ink on vellum and red card stock.  Apply red embossing powder to the vellum and white embossing powder to the red card stock.  Heat set and cut out using the Dahlia dies.  You can layer different sized flowers on top to give your flowers more dimension.  I layered the Petite Poinsettia on top of each other using Zots and added gemstones to the center of the flowers.  I layered the Sunburst flowers together by using a hole punch and securing together with brads.  I added the flowers to the scrapbook page in a random pattern using Zip Dry glue.  I added a small bow to the center bottom of the picture.

Thanks for stopping by.  Please let me know what you think.  Until next time....Happy Papercrafting.

Welcome to Heartfelt Creations Wednesday

Good Morning everyone.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  This is my newest creation for Heartfelt Creations.  The project I created this week is a Gift card holder.  I hate to give a gift card in something boring and this is anything but.  When you remove the top there is a wonderful surprise inside waiting for that someone special.

The inside of this box features the Regal Poinsettia 2 PreCut Stamp set from Heartfelt Creations.  It is located in there Limited Edition Section and will be only be available until December 31.  So if you would like this set of stamps or any other of the limited edition stamps head on over to Heartfelt Creations and place your orders now.

Would you like to be able to make one for yourself.  Look below for products used and how I did it.

Heartfelt Creations Products:

Other:  white card stock, silver card stock, white pearls, ⅝” wide white satin organza ribbon, silver embossing powder, Sizzix Big Shot, Heat Gun, Vellum, Versamark Ink Pad, zots
Cut white card stock at 11”x 11”.  Score at 4” on all four sides.  Cut out the four corner pieces.  Fold on score lines to form box shape.  Cut another piece of white card stock at 6¼” x 6¼” to make a lid for the box.  Score the lid at 1½” on all four sides.  Now turn the piece of card stock over and score from the tip of each corner diagonally until you meet your scored corner line.  Fold all your score lines and pinch corners and fold them inward.  Glue the corners in place.  I recommend using Zip Dry to glue the corners.  While waiting for glue to dry you can secure the corners with paper clips.  Using silver card stock cut four panels at 3⅞”x 2⅞”.  Attach the panels to the outside panels of the box.  Using white card stock cut four panels at 3¾”x 2¾”.  Using the Scor-Pal, score all 4 panels of the white card stock at every ½” going to two different directions creating a diagonal pattern.  Attach scored card stock to silver card stock.  Cut a piece of silver card stock at 3⅛”x3⅛”.  Attach it to the top of the box lid.  Cut a piece of white card stock at 3”x 3”.  Again score it at every ½” going in two directions to make a diagonal pattern.  Attach to silver card stock on the box top. Attach ribbon to the lid of box.  Cut 4 pieces of silver card stock at 1⅜”x 3⅛” and attach them to the sides of the box top.  Cut four panels of white card stock at 1 ¼” x 3”.  Score these four pieces of white card stock like the others pieces have been scored and then attach the scored pieces of card stock to the silver card stock on the sides of the box top.  Now you can add white pearls at the intersecting points on the scored card stock.  Add a bow to the ribbon on box top.  I cut some of the swirls and leaves from the Bella Rose die in silver card stock.  I trimmed just the swirls and I added them using zots on the top of the box around the bow.
Now it is time to work on the inside of the gift box.  Cut four panels of silver card stock at 3⅞”x 2⅞” and attach to the inside panels of the box.  Stamp four each of the 2 smallest flowers from the Regal Poinsettia 2 stamps in Versamark on both white card stock and vellum.  Add silver embossing powder to the stamped image and then heat set.  Using the Blossom 2 dies, cut out the embossed images.  On the vellum poinsettia cut in between the poinsettia petals to give them more dimension.  Layer the vellum poinsettias on top of the white card stock poinsettias suing zots.  Attach one large and on small poinsettia to each panel using Zots.   Again using the swirls and leaves die from Bella Rose cut it out several in white card stock with Big Shot.  I trim out on the swirls and added them around poinsettias on the four panels.  To make the gift card holder I cut two pieces of white card stock at 3½”x 1½”.  I stamped the holly leaves from the Regal Poinsettia 2 stamp in Versamark and added silver embossing powder and heat set on both pieces of white card stock.  Score the bottom of both pieces of the white card stock at ¼” and then glue the outside edge of the card stock.  Make sure not to apply glue the top edge as that is where you will put the gift card.  Adhere the bottom of the gift card holder to the center of the box using the scored sections. I cut on piece of silver card stock at 2⅞”x 2⅞”.  I cut it in half on the diagonal at attach on either side of the gift holder to hide where it is attached at the bottom of the box.

Dazzling Snowflakes--Paper Temptress

Hi again....This is my new project for Paper Temptress Design Team.  It features the Vista Mica/Metallic Card Stock.  I love the glimmer of the paper especially when it is embossed.    Please take a look and let me know what you think.    Look at the other pictures to see the surprise inside.  I also have included what products I used and how the card was made.
Detail view of the embossed snowflakes.

Products used:
  • ·         Vista Mica/Metallic Card Stock from Paper Temptress
  • ·         White card stock
  • ·         Darice Embossing Folder-Snowflake
  • ·         Sizzix Big Shot
  • ·         ⅛” wide blue organza ribbon
  • ·         Terrifically Tacky Tape
  • ·         Clear rhinestones
  • ·         Memento Ink Pad –Summer Sky
  • ·         Snowflake and Dots Stamps (Stamps By Judith)
  • ·         Small envelope
  • ·         1” circle punch
  • ·         Snowflake Stamp (Stampin’ Up)

How I made it:

  • ·         Cut white card stock at 5½”x 8½”.
  • ·         Score card stock at 4¼” to form card base.
  • ·         Attach ribbon to the back of white card stock.  Make sure to leave extra length of ribbon to be able to tie card shut.
  • ·         Cut Vista Mica/Metallic card stock into four pieces at 4⅛”x 5⅜”.  Emboss the four Vista Mica/Metallic Card stock using the Snowflake embossing folder and the Sizzix Big Shot.
  • ·          Attach two embossed panels to the outside of card base.
  • ·         Add rhinestones to the center of the snowflakes on the front of the card card.
  • ·         Attach two embossed panels on the inside of the card base.  Use a strong adhesive to attach since they will have a pop up attached that will apply more pressure to the inside of the paper.
  •            Cut two pieces of white card stock at 5½”x 4” Score both pieces of card stock at 1”, 2”, 3”. See Picture #1
  • Picture #1

  • ·         Stamp snowflakes and dots with Summer Sky ink in a random pattern.  Fold card stock on scored lines.  Then attach tape to both sides of the 1” marks on both ends and on both pieces of card stock. See Picture #2
Picture #2

  • ·         Remove back off the first two adhesive and start attaching stamped card stock to inside of card.  Line up the edge at the center fold.   Remove the other two pieces if backing off the adhesive.  Line up and attach to other side of card.      See Picture #3
    Picture #3

  • ·         Now it is time to get the small envelope ready to attach to the card.  Start by cutting the top of the small envelope.
  • ·          Then using the 1” circle punch cut about half way down on the envelope to create a notch to get the gift card in and out.
  • ·         Stamp Snowflake in Summer Sky on the envelope front.  Add clear rhinestone to center of snowflake.
  • ·         Attach small envelope to stamped card stock that is attached to inside of card.
  • ·         Remove backing on two of the remaining adhesives on the other piece of stamped card stock and attach to inside of card.  Make sure to line up card stock with other piece of card stock that is already attached to card. See Picture #4 and 5

HCPC3420 Holiday Dove PreCut Set

Other:  black card stock, silver card stock, silver embossing powder, Versamark Ink Pad, vellum, heat gun, Sizzix Big Shot, Zots, pop dots, embossing pillow, silver ribbon, Bow Easy, Fiskars Corner Rounder, clear rhinestones
Cut black card stock at 8”x 10¾”.  Score at 5⅜” to form card base.  Cut silver card stock at 7⅞”x 5¼” and attach to card base.  Cut black card stock at 7¾”x 5⅛”.  Round all four corners with corner rounder and attach silver ribbon to the bottom of card stock and attach to the card base.  Add bow to ribbon.  Use the embossing pillow on both the black and vellum card stock before stamping.  On the black card stock, stamp the holiday dove and two of the swirls and the four sets of the two smallest poinsettia flowers with the Versamark Ink.  Add silver embossing powder to the stamped images and then heat set.  On the vellum card stock stamp five sets of the two smallest poinsettia flowers with Versamark Ink and then add silver embossing powder and heat set.  Use the coordinating die cuts to cut out the embossed stamped image.  Cut out the two swirls with scissors.  Layer the poinsettia flowers using Zots.  Now it is time to assemble the card.  Start by adding the holiday dove just above the center of the bow.  I attached it with pop dots.  Add the swirls to either side of the dove at a slight angle.  I added two of the vellum poinsettia to each of the swirls.  I then clustered both the black card stock and vellum poinsettia where needed.   All the flowers were attached with Zots.   When all stamped images are put in place, I added clear rhinestones for some extra bling.

Christmas Trimming from Heartfelt Creations

This is my newest project that was made for Heartfelt Creations.  It features the Petite Poinsettia and Poinsettia Ornament PreCut Stamps and Petite Poinsettia Shapabilities and Heirloom Ornaments 2011 Die Cuts.   Make sure to check out all the other design team members beautiful projects featured on Heartfelt Creations Blog.  They are more detailed pictures as well as instructions on how to create your own.

Detail view of the glitter scrolls and Liquid Pearls
How it was Made:

Other:  Quickutz embossing folder (Diamond and Dots), white card stock, teal card stock, aqua card stock, Peacock Liquid Pearls, Versa Magic Ink Sea Breeze, silver cording, Big Shot, Quickie Glue Pen, Stamp and Bond, Teal Glitter, Heat Gun, Zots, Pop Dots, Teal Micro Beads

Cut white card stock at 8” x 10¾”.  Score at 5⅜” to form card base.  Cut teal card stock at 7⅞x 5¼”.  Cut aqua card stock at 7 ¼”x 5”.  Run the aqua card stock through Big Shot with Diamonds and Dots embossing folder twice.  Make sure that you line up the design carefully so that the image will look good on the card stock.  Add Peacock Liquid Pearls to the dots of the embossed mat.   Let it dry and adhere to the teal card stock.  On white card stock stamp 2nd largest ornament image and the two smallest ornaments using the Sea Breeze ink.  On white card stock stamp (1) of the smallest poinsettia, (2) of the 2nd smallest poinsettia and (1) of the 3rd largest poinsettia all in Sea Breeze ink.  Using the Big Shot and Layered Poinsettia and Heirloom Ornament dies, cut the stamped images out.  Using the Quickie Glue pen apply adhesive to the details of the stamped images, such as the edges of the poinsettia and scrolls of the ornaments and the dots of intersections on poinsettia.  Then add Stamp and Bond and then heat set and apply glitter.  Assemble all ornaments and poinsettias.  Layer largest poinsettia on largest ornament then add the next largest poinsettia on the top of that.  Using the Art Glitter glue add micro beads to the center to the flower.  Layer the remaining poinsettia to the ornament and then add the micro beads to the center of that flower.  On the smallest ornament add Peacock Liquid Pearls to the end of the glitter detail.  Punch holes at the top of all the ornaments and add silver cording to all the ornaments.  Add the ornaments to teal/aqua mats by wrapping cording around the back of the mats and then attach to the mat fronts with pop to give dimension.  Add the matted ornaments to the card base.  Add silver bows made from the cording to the ornaments using Zots.  Add a larger bow to the card front at the bottom left.
