Another recent post for Paper Temptress
This was another recent post for Paper Temptress. I think this card would make a wonderful card for Father's day or any time you need a card for that special man in your life. The card that I created features several types of card stock from Paper Temptress. I love how you can combine the different card stock lines to add different textures and colors to any projects.
Paper Temptress Products Used:
- Sandstone Deckled Stationery Card Stock
- Safari Brown Skinny Columns Card Stock
- Khaki Crepe Ruche Card Stock
Other Products Used:
- Tim Holtz Ink: Vintage Photo
- Tree Stamp from Heartfelt Creations
- Happy Birthday Sentiment Stamp from TPC Studios
- Ivory Card stock for card base
How it is made:
- Start out by cutting your ivory card stock at 6 ¼”x 9 ¼” to make the base of your card. Score the card stock at 4⅝”.
- Cut a piece of Safari Brown Skinny Columns and Khaki Crepe Ruche card stock at 3”x 4 ½” Attach the each half to the card front, placing the Khaki Crepe Ruche card stock to the top of the card and the Safari Brown Skinny Columns card stock to the bottom of the card.
- Cut a piece of the Sandstone Deckled Stationery card stock at 3”x 3” and stamp the tree image with the Vintage Photo ink. I cut the card stock so that the deckled edge would be on the left hand side of the card stock when the image was stamped.
- Cut a piece of Safari Brown Skinny Columns and Khaki Crepe Ruche card stock at 3 ¼”x 1 ⅝”. Attach the Safari Brown Skinny Columns card stock to the top side of the stamped image and the Khaki Crepe Ruche card stock to the bottom.
- Attach the matted stamped image to the center of the card front.
Thanks for stopping by. Make sure to stop
by Paper Temptress and check out the beautiful card stock. Where your
creativity take you? Until next time…..Happy Paper Crafting!!
Recent Post for Paper Temptress
This is one of my recent submissions for Paper Temptress Design Team. It features the Mica/Metallic card stock line. I know that I say this a lot, but I love this line of card stock. The colors and the shimmer of this card stock is beautiful and can be used in so many ways.
Paper Temptress Products Used:
- Juniper Berry Glimmer Card Stock
- Lapis Luzuli Mica/Metallic Card Stock
- Cryogen White Card Stock
- Black Licorice Pop Tones Card Stock
- Memento Ink: Summer Sky, Paris Dusk, Bamboo Leaves
- Flower Stamps (Stampin’ Up)
- White card stock
- Navy organza ribbon
- Bow Easy
- Stamp-a-ma-jig
- Crystal Gemstones
- Cut white card stock at 6¼”x 9¼”. Score the card stock at 4⅝” to form card base.
- Cut Juniper Berry Glimmer card stock at 6⅛”x 4½”. Attach to card base.
- Cut Lapis Luzuki Mica/Metallic card stock at 5⅝”x 2”. Cut a mat of the Black Licorice Pop Tones card stock at 5⅞”x 2¼”. Attach the Lapis card stock to the Black Licorice card stock and then attach to the left hand side of the card front.
- Cut Cryogen White card stock at 3⅞”x 2¼”. Using the Stamp-a-ma-jig for placement stamp the bottom layer of the flower in Summer Sky. Then stamp the top layer of the flower in Paris Duck.
- Cut Black Licorice Pop Tones Card Stock at 4”x 2⅜”. Attach the stamped image to the Black Licorice card stock and then add to card front near the center.
- Make a small bow with Navy organza ribbon and add to the center of the stem on the stamped image. (I used the Bow Easy to make a perfect little bow.)
- Add crystal gemstones to the center of the flower and then add three small gemstones to the bottom right corner of the card.
Thanks for stopping by and please let me
know what you think. I love to hear your comments. Until next time…..Happy Paper Crafting!
We are back!!
We are back. It seems like we have had so many things going on around our house. We have been doing some major remodeling on our house since mid February. Todd just finished it a few weeks ago. We will be posting pictures soon. He did such a beautiful job on creating a master bathroom, master closet and a pantry from our old family room. He is my "Bob the Builder".
Once that project was completed it was the mad rush to get ready for the Memorial Party for my mother in law. She passed away May 2011. We really wanted to do something special to celebrate her life and memory. We asked her friends and family to write down some of their special memories with her and then to send them to us. We gathered pictures and recipes and all the stories and made it into a memory album. It ended up being 30 pages and we made 11 albums altogether, so that everybody would be able to have their own book. Todd put together a wonderful power point presentation together to celebrate her life. We had lots of food and friendship. It turned out so much better than I could have expected. We will post pictures of her album as soon as I get a chance.
During this time I have been working on all my design team projects. I just have not had a chance to get them posted until now. So there will a lot of post coming up. Thanks so much for your patience. I really am glad that things are returning to normal. I miss being creative and being able to share it with others.
