Tree of Love

Tree of Love

Good afternoon.  Today's project was created for Paper Temptress design team blog.  It features the Mica/Metallic paper line.  This is such a very versatile paper line.  I love the shimmer it gives any project.  Be sure to check out the Paper Temptress Blog and see what all of the talented designers have been busy creating. The details are below from what products used and how the card was made.



Products Used:
·          
       Ruby Mica/Metallic—Paper Temptress
·         Tree Stamp (Inkadinkado)
·         Memento Ink—Tuxedo Black, Lady Bug
·         Spellbinders—Classic Ovals Small, Beaded Ovals
·         White card stock
·         Black cardstock
·         Die cutting machine
·         Sponge
·         Black Organza Ribbon
·         Bow Easy
·         Red gemstones
·         Fiskars corner rounder
·         Zots

How it is made:
·        
           Cut white card stock at 6”x 9¼”.  Score at 4⅝” to form card base. 
·         Cut Ruby Mica/Metallic at 5⅞”x 4½”.  Attach to the card base in the center.
·         Stamp tree image on white card stock with Tuxedo Black ink. 
·         Using the largest oval die cut out the tree image using a die cutting machine.  Also emboss with the same die on the stamped image. 
·         Using a sponge apply Lady Bug ink to the edge of the cut out stamped image.
·         Cut out a mat for the stamped image with black card stock and the largest beaded oval die. 
·         Add stamped image to the beaded oval mat.   Attach to center of card base. 
·         Add gemstones to the branches of the tree randomly. 
·         Make bow with black organza ribbon made with the Bow Easy.  Attach to the card front under stamped image using a Zot.

Last of the Recent Card Designs

Hi again.  This might be a record for us.  Three posts in one day.  If I could always be so active.  That is something that we plan to do.  These are the last two cards from our card gift package from Christmas 2011. 

On My Mind

Products Used:
·         
            Hello Doily Stamp (Stampin’ Up)
·         Sentiment Stamp (TPC Studios)
·         White card stock
·         Lt. Blue card stock
·         Versamark ink,
·         White embossing powder
·         Heat gun
·         Memento Ink: Summer Sky, Danube Blue
·         Sponge

How it is Made:
·        
           Cut white card stock at 6”x 9¼”. 
·         Score at 4⅝” to form card base.
·         Cut light blue card stock at 5⅞”x 4½”.  Attach to card front. 
·         Cut white card stock at 5¼”x 4¼”. 
·         Stamp doily image on white card stock with Versamark ink.  Apply white embossing powder and heat set.
·         Use a sponge and Summer Sky ink and apply to stamped image to reveal detail.  This is called reverse embossing.
·         Adhere stamped image to card front. 
·         Stamp sentiment in Danube Blue on bottom right corner of stamped image.

·         Pastel Pencil: Dark Violet, Emerald Green, Deep Cadmium

How it is Made:
·         Cut white card stock at 6”x 9¼”.  Score at 4⅝” to form card base.
·         Cut dark green card stock at 4½”x 2⅝”.  Attach to the card base in the center.
·         Cut light green card stock at 4¼”x 2⅜”.  Attach to the card base in the center of the dark green mat.
·         Cut white card stock at 4”x2⅛”.  Stamp flower in Tuxedo Black.
·         Color image with Pastel Pencils and then blend with Gamsol.
·         Add the stamped image to the mats on the card front.

 Surprise!!  It is us again with a couple more of the cards created for our card packages last Christmas.  The first is a card that would be great for a husband, father or special man in your life.  Both cards are super simple to create but produces a card that anyone would be happy to receive.

How it is Made:

·         Cut chocolate card stock at 4”x 2”.  Attach to card base in the center.
·         Cut ivory card stock at 3¾”x 1¾”.  Stamp tree border in Rich Cocoa. 
·         Attach stamped image to the chocolate mat on the card front. 
·         Stamp sentiment under stamped image in Rich Cocoa.

How it is Made:
·        
           Cut white card stock at 6”x 9¼”.  Score at 4⅝” to form card base.
·         Cut white card stock at 2½”x 2½”.  Stamp mouse image with Tuxedo Black ink.
·         Color image with Copic Markers. 
·         Apply Glossy Accents to flower centers.  Allow it to dry.
·         Using the Big Shot and the fourth largest square die cut a mat for the stamped image in teal card stock. 
·         Mat colored stamped image and attach to the top center of card base. 
·         Stamp sentiment under image in Tuxedo Black ink.

Card Collection

Hello again everyone.  We wanted to share a few more of the cards that were part of the card sets that we made as Christmas gifts the past year.  Each set had eight cards that were created to be used for a variety of card needs. Here are a few more of the designs that were in the set.

For Your Special Day

Products Used:
·         2 Step Flower (Stampin’ Up)
·         Square Stamp (Stamps by Judith)
·         Birthday Sentiment (TPC Studios)
·         Memento Ink: Tuxedo Black, Angel Pink, Rose Bud
·         Spellbinders Lacy Squares
·         White card stock
·         Pink card stock
·         Big Shot
·         Stamp-a-ma-jig

How it is Made:
     
Cut white card stock at 6”x 9¼”.  Score at 4⅝” to form card base.
Using the Big Shot and the second largest lacy square die cut out a mat with the pink card stock.
Attach pink mat to the card front on the center left side.

·         Cut white card stock at 2¼”x 2¼”. 
·         Stamp square in Tuxedo Black on white card stock.
·         Stamp flower image in the middle of stamped square on white card stock, using the Angel Pink for the base and Rosebud for flower detail.  I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to help with lining up placement of stamps.
·         Add stamped image to the card front in the center of the pink mat.
·         Stamp the sentiment in Rosebud next to the stamped image.

How it is Made:
·        
           Cut white card stock at 6”x 9¼”.  Score at 4⅝” to form card base.
·         Cut yellow card stock at 5⅞”x 4½”.  Attach to the center of the card base.
·         Cut white card stock at 5⅜”x 4”. 
·         Stamp wishes, get well and band-aid in Tuxedo Black ink.  Use the Stamp-a-ma-jig for stamp placement.
·         Color band aid with Copic Marker.  Attach to card base.
