Something Special for Dad

Good Morning.  It's Lisa with my newest project for Just for Fun.  I am so excited to be able to share my creation with you.

I started with the white card base.  I cut a mat of navy blue card stock and add to the center of the card front.   I cut piece of white card stock and I masked the top and bottom edges leaving 2 inches open in the middle.  I sponged on Summer Sky ink.  I then stamped Lighthouse stamp (F2303) using Tuxedo Black ink.  I then stamped the Father’s Day sentiment (C2132) in the center right edge with Tuxedo Black ink.  I added the stamped image to the mat in the center of the card front.

Dina

Vicki
Sarah
Caroline
Mary
Cibele
Lisa <==  That's me

One of our blogs will be randomly chosen and from all those that commented on that blog, the winner will be chosen.  The blog hop will remain open for comments on everybody’s blog through midnight Friday night May 31st.  The winner will be posted here noon on Saturday, June 1st.  The winner will receive a $25 gift certificate.

For my project this month I decided to create a bookmark.  I really wanted to make something a little special to mark the page of a book that I might be reading.   I used the HCPC 3304 Posy Patch Swirls PreCut Set and the HCPC 3303 Posy Patch Flowers PreCut Set.   I used HCD 701 Posy Patch Die to cut out the flowers.  I used the HCD 728 Timeless Amour Die to add the heart to the top of my bookmark.    It is a simple design with such a beautiful stamp, like all the Heartfelt Creations stamps and Dies.

So be sure to leave a comment and to visit the other talented Alumni Design Team members and let there creativity inspire you.

Where to Next?? for Just for Fun Rubber Stamps

Good Morning.  It's Lisa with my newest project for Just for Fun.  I am so excited to be able to share my creation with you.  This following sketch is the inspiration for my card.

I started with the white card base.  I cut a mat of bright blue card stock and add to the center of the card front.  I added yellow mat to the top left edge of the card front.  I added a piece of blue ribbon to the card front.  I cut piece of white card stock and stamped Direction Destination Sign (F3654) using Rich Cocoa ink.  I colored the image with Copic markers. I then stamped the various cities on the signs from the Unmounted Destinations Cities (UMS7022) using various colors of the Tim Holtz Distress inks.  I cut a mat for the image out of black card stock.  I then cut a second mat of bright blue card stock.  I added the blue mat to the card front at a random angle.  I attached the stamped and colored image to the black mat and then added to the card front, again at a random angle.

Wind Swept Palm

Hello Everyone!  Welcome to my newest project for Just for Fun Rubber Stamps.  I am excited to be able to share with you today.

For my card I decided I wanted to create a card that would be great for a summer birthday or other special occasion. I started with the white card base and I added ribbon to the card base.  I cut a piece of the blue and green ribbon and added to the edge of the card front running lengthwise.  I also added a piece of blue ribbon going the other direction of the card weaving it in between the other pieces. I cut a piece of the white card stock and then I stamped the Wind Swept Palm (F3653) using Memento ink pad in Tuxedo Black.  I colored the image with Copic and Memento markers.  I cut a mat of black card stock and added the stamped image to the mat.  I also cut a mat of lime green card stock and attach to the card front off centered.  I added the stamped image to the lime green mat again off center.  I also stamped the sentiment Everyday and Everyplace (B3671) on the bottom right edge of card front.

Finished Card Size: 7-7/8”x 5-3/8”
